      A partir de 1918, Conan Doyle se consacre au spiritualisme. Il donne une série de conférences spirites en Australie, aux Etats-Unis et au Canada et publie une Histoire du Spiritisme en deux volumes, et Nouvelle révélation.
      En 1917, il apportera son soutien à deux cousines de 15 et 9 ans qui prétendent avoir pris cinq photographies les montrant entourées de fées. Le débat sur l’authenticité ou non des photographies des fées de Cottingley passionna le monde entier.
      Ce n’est qu’en 1983, alors âgées de 82 et 76 ans, que les deux cousines avouent la supercherie : les fées n’étaient que des images découpées, collées sur des épingles, puis fichées dans le sol.

      Dans son roman Sir Nigel(1906), Conan Doyle relate les aventures du jeune Nigel Loring, un jeune orphelin qui traverse l’épidémie de peste qui frappe l’Europe lors de la guerre de Cent ans.

In the event that the employer of a participant (which participated in a Contest using an office computer or the office internet services) has a policy which prohibits the awarding of a prize to an employee, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected.
