We went to the Voyager last Easter with my parents;(my Mum used to live in Zambia, and this was their first all-inclusive AND package holiday since), and had the most fantastic time. Perhaps the people who thought it disgraceful that you couldn't get a dozen eggs at breakfast, or that rooms weren't standard European 4 star, should have visited Bombolulou School nearby, or the Lioness Orphanage, and this might have reminded them that, whatever money you paid, you are holidaying in a country where the majority of people have NOTHING. I won't forget one of the entertainment staff asking me if I would please get a lollipop for her 5 year old son, or that the Deputy Head of the local school earned in a month what I earn as a teacher in an hour and a half. Be realistic, travellers, and while you're sat on a beautiful beach, in the sunshine, with your Gin and Tonic in hand, remember where you are and enjoy it."
