          In addition to the normal sight, touch, taste, smell and hearing, bass have something called the lateral line, which is a series of sensitive nerve endings that extends from just behind the gill to the tip of the tail. The lateral line picks up underwater vibrations which allows bass to find food and navigate in even in the muddiest of waters.
